Support Driver - £13.85 (PAYE) Per hour
4 month contract - 37.5 hours a week
 
Our client are seeking a support driver for a 4 month fixed contract.
 
You will report into the Office Manager and will be responsible for working with the clients team and technicians to reconcile the stock on our fleet of circa 150 vans belonging to our meter engineers without disruption to their BAU work. You will mainly be field based, with some office and warehouse time. You will be working as a pair, responsible for driving around the UK replenishing stock on our technicians vans. You will working closely with a counterpart in the office who will be making sure the ERP system is aligned to the charges that this role would be making to technicians vans. This role will also require working to support in our warehouse on occasion. Duties and Responsibilities:
·Liaising with the company's warehousing facility.
·Driving to meet technicians and restock their vans.
·Answering technicians queries in regards to the work you are carrying out
·Controlling and managing the distribution of stock to the technicians.
·Various administrative activities.
·Updating the Field Services Manager on a regular basis.
·Manage your own workload ensuring that all key tasks are completed on time and accurately.
·Working closely with a teammate on a daily basis out in the field.
·Coordinating with the office counterpart on a daily making sure the flow of information is seamless.
Skills and knowledge required for the role:
 
·Good problem solving skills, able to grasp problems quickly and draw informed conclusions.
·Strong organisational and communication skills.
·Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills are highly desirable.
·Experience in working in fast paced, dynamic environment.
·Experience of navigating multiple systems.
·Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
·Ability to pick up new systems with speed and ease.
·Experience driving a Luton Van or similar sized vehicle (below 7.5T) is essential.
