An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Highways Foreman to join a busy client in Biggleswade on highway maintenance schemes.

The main duties of the experienced Highway Foreman are:

• Undertake supervision of highway maintenance works to ensure compliance with the requirements of the contract and including keeping clear and accurate records of necessary to demonstrate that compliance.
• Have extensive knowledge and experience of asphalt materials.
• Understand the principles of an NEC 3 contract to assist in the management of contractors and understand the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor.
• Undertake, and supervise others in, the supervision of highway maintenance schemes where appropriate to ensure compliance with contractual requirement
• Use appropriate skills/attributes to effectively manage/prioritise your workload  
• Investigate and respond to requests from members of the public, Councillors and MP's and understand the need for effective and efficient communication, both written and verbal.
• Prepare and supervise others in the preparation of technical and financial reports to ensure all schemes are appropriately approved and authorised for construction
