Site Agent - Highways - Coventry | Up to £64,000 + £7,000 Car Allowance
My client is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their delivery team on a major highways project based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Agent who wants to play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure works while leading high-performing site teams and ensuring safe, high-quality project delivery.
As a Site Agent, you will take ownership of a defined section of works on a significant highways scheme, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality standards. This Site Agent role offers the chance to work on a major project while contributing to the delivery of sustainable transport infrastructure that will benefit the region for years to come.

The role and responsibilities
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a section of highways works based in Coventry, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You will be doing the following:
·Leading large-scale earthworks, drainage, structures and highways works including traffic management
·Managing site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and to specification
·Overseeing project documentation including RAMS, ITPs, project plans, waste plans and QA documentation
·Ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and National Highways standards
·Driving programme performance including managing milestones and three-month lookaheads
·Chairing site meetings and ensuring clear communication between all project stakeholders
·Championing a strong health, safety, environmental and quality culture across site teams
·Managing cost control, forecasting and commercial performance for your section of works
·Identifying value engineering opportunities and implementing improvements where possible
·Ensuring defect-free delivery and successful client handover
You will also maintain accurate reporting, proactively manage risks and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Must have skills and experience
To be successful in this Site Agent role, you will bring strong leadership capability and proven experience delivering major highways infrastructure projects.
You will have:
·Extensive experience delivering earthworks on major highways or infrastructure projects
·Strong knowledge of highways construction including drainage, structures, traffic management and temporary works
·A solid understanding of NEC contracts, CDM regulations and project risk management
·Experience managing programme performance, resource planning and cost forecasting
·Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively
·Experience using project planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project (desirable)
·A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness

Salary and benefits
