Job Description:
 
A Project Engineer; competent to manage signal engineering activities in accordance with NR/L2/INI/02009 'Engineering Management For Projects' and other applicable Network Rail Signalling Engineering Discipline standards; is required to undertake a Project Engineer (Signalling) position within the Southern Region for the Signalling Renewal Programme based in East Croydon.
 
Requirements:
Successful experience in the Signal Engineering discipline (design and construction or maintenance);
- Involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas;
- Technical qualifications to at least HND level or equivalent;
- Membership of a relevant professional institution;
- Knowledge of safety management and quality assurance;
- Appreciation of environmental issues in engineering works.
 
Desirable
- Chartered status or equivalent in the particular discipline;
- Experience of signalling systems such as VSCS, TDMs, TDs etc.
- An appreciation of environmental issues in Engineering works
- Experience of working on collaborative contracts;
