We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior/Principal Highway Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. As a Senior/Principal Highway Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, managing, and delivering major highways projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of major highways projects all around the UK. This is a fulltime positions and you will be required to work in the office 1-3 days per week. This is a long term contract position that falls outside IR35.
 
Key tasks and responsibilities will be:
 
-Lead design teams to deliver highway design commissions
-Design management
-Undertake, check and review design packages
-Act as a highways technical lead on design tasks and packages
-Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety (including CDM Regulations), quality, and training
-Provide guidance, instruct, motivate, and manage project teams
 
Key skills and experience:
 
-BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering
-Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, MICE or equivalent
-Good working knowledge of Highways Design,  DMRB and MCHW
-Good working experience working on National Highways projects and project control phases and requirements
-Experienced in the use of industry standard software including AutoCAD, Civils 3D etc.
-Good knowledge of BIM procedures
-Experienced in project delivery including reports, drawings and specifications
