Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water industry
Location: Derby - with home working offered
Duration: 6 months +
Rate: £400 - £450 per day - Umbrella
IR35 Status: Inside
Start Date: ASAP
 
My client is looking to strengthen their commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their STW framework. Based out of either our Cardinal Square (Derby) office or Roman Way Office (Coleshill) you will be providing commercial support for a project, working closely with the operational teams.
 
Responsibilities include:
·Understanding and implementing the contractual requirements of project documents, including the roles and responsibilities of all involved
·Cost management for project/section of works
·Value/change management for project/section of works
·Maintaining project risk and opportunities schedule
·Assisting procurement in the preparation and issue of subcontract documentation, enquiries and negotiations
·Financial reporting
·Providing training and support for junior commercial staff and operational staff
·Identification, preparation and negotiation of claims
·Working in compliance with the contract management tools i.e. Asite (STW system), IFS
·Final account, preparation, audit and agreement
 
Skills and Experience:
·A comprehensive level of commercial experience preferably with a contracting organisation.
·BSc or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject
·Financially astute
·NEC3/4 knowledge and experience
·Relevant CSCS Card
·Water industry experience
·Civils experience
·M&E experience
·Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation
