Role: Senior Process Engineer
Location:Fully Remote - Ad-Hoc visits
Salary: up to £55,000 (Depending on experience)

Are you Process Engineer with design experience for Water Treatment Projects attached to Water Utility companies in the UK?
 
the business we are working with is one the UK's leading technical engineering consultancies in the water Sector are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to work on projects for frameworks up and down the country, primarily Welsh water (DCWW) . The position is remote working with ad-hoc site/office visits.
 
Candidates must have Water sector experience in Process Engineering from a design standpoint.
 
The client will provide opportunities to work on multiple projects and frameworks with diverse engineering teams across the country.
 
We are looking for somebody chartered, or on route to chartership in Chemical Engineering, who is happy to work independently from home regularly.
 
The role will encompass:
·Co-ordinate the design and produce process design documents and drawings taking due account of health & safety requirements, specifications and standards pertaining to the contract
·Responsible for the technical aspects of the delivery of a number of projects and for specific department management functions and improvement initiatives as directed by the department manager
·Assist with the production of process designs which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively
·To be cost effective the whole out turn cost of the design solution must be considered including design time costs, material costs, erection costs and any impact that the design solution might have on other disciplines
·Assist the design manager to write, update and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department
·Ensure co-ordination of the designs with all other disciplines internal and external in order to ensure that the design processes carried out on the contract are coordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole
·Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts
·Assist the management team to instil a culture where satisfying the customer is recognized as the key to achieving other objectives, and that customers include everyone receiving benefit from our processes, whether end users or other departments within the company
·Ensure that design takes full regard of all health and safety requirements
 
The successful candidate:
 
·A thorough knowledge of the principle of water and sewage treatment
·Relevant Engineering degree (5 years relevant experience)
·Ability to think clearly under pressure
·Good negotiation skills
·Good interpersonal skills
·Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic process designs
·Good general knowledge of all aspects of water treatment, e.g. mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and project management
·A flexible mind, with the ability to assimilate large amounts of different data at one time
·Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and convincingly
·Computer literacy
