Opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Building Services design Engineer to work on a significant Defence framework in Scotland.
 
This role is based in Warrington and has generous home working options, however you will need to reside in a commutable distance from the Warrington office. You will be part of a wider team, spread across the North and Scotland to deliver major projects.
 
This is a 7-year framework to deliver specialist technical services valued between £250-400 million to support DIO, Navy Command and other MOD organisations.
 
There is a critical need to a British National and be eligible for security clearance to be considered for this position. If you already hold SC clearance, this will be highly beneficial.
 
Key requirements
 
·Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
·Chartered Engineer (or working towards CEng) with CIBSE or IET.
·Proficient in Design and specification of all Mechanical Building Services systems - Heating, Ventilation, Cooling, Controls etc.
·Experience of managing others and leading project delivery teams.
·Excellent level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Hevacomp, IES, AutoCAD, NBS and Microsoft packages.
·Aware of energy reduction methods and approaches to decarbonising new and existing buildings.
·Experience in site surveys, inspections and site work monitoring
·Experience of working in a design consultancy and/or some experience of working within a contractor design environment is beneficial.
·Mentoring and training junior Engineers
·Good report writing skills
·Experience of attending meetings with and presenting to clients
