A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Drainage Engineer to join a market leading consultancy in Southampton. This is a fulltime contract role which can offer complete remote work, with ad-hoc office travel to Southampton.
 
This position falls outside IR35.
 
The role
 
·Lead, design and deliver coordinated drainage design solutions for major highway projects in the UK (National Highways)
·Develop and review of feasibility studies, technical reports, detailed designs and production of contract documents for highway projects
·Develop innovative drainage strategies for clients, promoting sustainability and zero carbon 
·Meeting and liaising with clients, stakeholders and other disciplines
·Demonstrate excellent experience, ability and mentoring in UK drainage design, SuDS and relevant software/flood modelling
·Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety (including CDM Regulations), quality, and training 
 
Key experience required
 
·Excellent drainage design capabilities
·AutoCAD proficient and expertise in MicroDrainage modelling system or equivalent hydraulic design tools
·Proven experience in the UK or internationally at renowned practices
·Demonstrate experience in leading strategic and detailed design, and delivering drainage designs across the UK
·Self-motivated and thrives working in multidisciplinary environments
·Good working knowledge of different NEC contract types and procurement options
·Experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
