Are you looking for an excellent opportunity to work as a Rail Senior Civil Engineer within a large multidisciplinary consultancy who are involved in exciting local and international projects?

Join my client's Rail & Public Transport team based in Leeds, working across a varied range of regional and UK investment projects.
 
This role is permanent and offering a competitive salary.
 
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
·Experience of working in the UK rail industry with good working knowledge of Network Rail Grip process / standards and approval processes.
·Excellent written and oral communication skills.
·Ability to communicate with a variety of audience using different mediums.
·Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising planners, designers, engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance to less experienced members of the team.
·Able to manage your own time to meet project deadlines and budget targets.
·Proven ability to write accurate, clear, high quality reports in English.
·Ability to respond to Project Manager and Client requests and meet challenging deadlines.
 
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
·Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
·Chartered or working towards chartership for the Institute of Civil Engineers or equivalent
·Around 3 years' experience working in the rail sector.
·PTS qualification desirable
·Previously worked on projects through Network Rail Grip stages 1-3
·Experience in relevant forms of design software
·Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges.
·Experience of Railway station developments desirable.
·UK Driving Licence is desirable


Experience working in some of the below areas:
·Lineside civils works
·Platform and canopy design
·Gantry and foundation designs
·Rock cutting stabilisations works
·Designers risk assessments
·Bridge design, refurbishment and strengthening schemes
·Completing design forms (F001-003)
·Cat 3 checking of third-party designs
·UTX/URX design
