Salary: £26,000 to £27,000 (this will be paid pro rata)
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract, duration of 4 months commencing from July 2024
Location: Luton/on site

Join an esteemed consultancy in a seasonal Ecologist position. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a large-scale infrastructure project in the Midlands, while also assisting the wider ecology team on projects across the UK. Some prior experience in bat surveys is beneficial, but not essential, as full training will be provided as part of the role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
·Undertaking various bat surveys, utilising thermal and infra red cameras, handheld and automated detectors.
·Coordinating and arranging ecological surveys, including logistics and access.
·Monitoring site activities and collaborating with the project team to ensure surveys are on schedule and meet project requirements.
·Analysing sound and video data collected during surveys.
·Contributing to the preparation of bat survey reports.
·Occasional desk-based support for the wider ecology team, involving report preparation and data searches.

Essential requirements:
·Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
·Full UK driver's license and right to work in the UK.
