My client is looking for an experienced ecologist to support railway operations in the South East of England. The role will include surveying, assessments, and compliance.

You will be expected to assure ecological services including lineside vegetation and engineering maintenance. Experience in GIS or field mapping will there for be essential for this position.

Routine travel is essential for this role, so the successful candidate must possess a full valid UK driving license. Site travel will be required up to 3 times a week across various sites in Sussex and the South of England.

Due to the nature of the work, this role will require a Personal Track Safety (PTS) Card.

Essential:

• Previous ecological experience including surveying, field data collection, and GIS
• Previous experience in all aspects of Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA)
• Full UK Driving License
• PTS Card
