Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor that is currently looking for a new challenge?
 
An opportunity has arisen for a Highways QS to join a client in Bedfordshire.
 
This is a full-time contract offered on an on-going basis, initially for 3 months. Remote working arrangements are available.
 
 
Key Accountabilities:
·Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in delivery of the target cost and budget estimate works for Specialist Treatment, Routine & Cyclic maintenance works
·Cost capture for supply chain & depot delivered works
·Assisting in supplying client with Target Costs and Budget estimates
·Working with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare clear and accurate quarterly forecasts for all Specialist Treatment, Routine & Cyclical maintenance works
·Preparing early warning notices and CE quotations
·Submitting of Claims and applications to the client and ensuring payment is received
·Assisting in agreement of final accounts for all Specialist Treatment, Routine & Cyclical maintenance works
·Risk & opportunity management
·Monthly cost and value reconciliation & management
·Assisting in management of supply chain
·Carrying out site visits as and when required
·Ensuring compliance with Milestone standards and procedures in respect of commercial activities
·Ad hoc commercial duties as job requires
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
 
·Degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related construction subject
·Preferably qualified or working to an CICES or RICS accreditation
·Relevant CSCS Card
·Good knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
