Job description

Are you a project manager with extensive experience in GIS mapping and rail?
 
Would you like to work client side on the prestigious HS2 scheme?
 
Location: Birmingham                           
Salary:   £500 - £550 per day - Inside IR35 Umbrella
Duration: Circa 9 Months
 
This role is specifically in relation to the Safeguarding and Zoned schemes team working on HS2 phase 2a and 2b.
 
·Responsible for the initiating, scoping, design and delivery of policy and process improvement projects as assigned by the Head of Property Services to deliver L&P's claimant-focused implementation of Safeguarding Directions and Zoned Scheme projects.
 
·Manage the workload and budget for procured external resources e.g. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and produce formal instructions for contractors to support work.
 
·Responsible for ensuring stakeholders are identified and managed throughout the life of the project; establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and stakeholders in order to resolve issues
 
Requirements:
·Experienced PM - min of 3 years - as a small team can be a hands on role
·Rail background and background in GIS and mapping
·Land and property experience would be preferred but not essential
·Any experience with DFT would be good
·Understand full life cycle of projects, manage stakeholders, close project out
·Running various projects  of up to £500k - commercial management of these projects
·Project manager qualification like APM
