Are you a Principal Transport Planner looking for a new challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking a Principal Transport Planner with experience in transport strategy and transport policy development.
 
Your key responsibilities:
 
·Undertake a range of technical work at a senior level, managing several transport studies relating to Local Plan development, transport strategy development/implementation, route corridor studies, strategic master planning, and public transport plans and interventions.
·Ensure that adequate resources and expertise are available to meet project requirements which may require engaging with consultants.
·Coordinate a programme of projects and ensure that components are delivered on time and on budget, with effective timely reporting.
·Work closely with Councillors and a range of stakeholders to seek support and buy in for key projects and objectives.
·Act as a focal point for specific geographic areas.
 
What is required?
·As the successful candidate, you will have experience of working in a local authority at a similar level and Transport Planning/Strategy background, preferably, within a local authority setting.
