Job description

We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's market leading business in multiple locations. Manchester, London and Cambridge can be considered.


You will be Responsible for leading on civil engineering/infrastructure design for development projects, and have a direct connection with the wider development teams based across the UK. Our client operates a flexible working policy, and this position can be full-time remote if required.


This is an initial 6 month contract which will be subject to an IR35 status determination, so we can consider candidates who are looking both inside and outside IR35.
 
Key experience required


·BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering
·Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, MICE
·Highways, drainage and development infrastructure experience
·Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microdrainage and/or Civil 3D
·Experience or knowledge of resourcing, progress measurement, earned value analysis, completion forecasting and status reporting
·A confident and professional manner, coupled with excellent communication skills, with clients and colleagues alike, to ensure clarity in all situations and to effectively influence
·Ability to work well under pressure and proven ability to deliver to deadlines
·Full UK driving licence
 
Key tasks and responsibilities


·Coordinate project research including site surveys and site inspections
·Prepare bid and contract documentation
·Prove ability in financial arrangements for projects including fee forecasting, fee preparation, and allocation
·Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety (including CDM Regulations), quality, and training
·Provide guidance, instruct, motivate, and manage assigned staff on the project
·Responsible for the competency assessment of staff involved in the project
·Ability to organise and conduct several activities simultaneously
·Establishing relationships with individuals from other organisations, generating market intelligence and new business opportunities
·Able to prepare single discipline bid documentation (in association with other disciplines)
