Principal Engineer Highways & Traffic
 
We are currently working with a busy North London borough with their search for a Principal Engineer in Highways & Traffic.
 
What you will be doing:
 
·To carry out the duties of a Principal Engineer in the design and delivery of a wide range of highways design, traffic engineering and traffic management projects.
·Act as a technical lead and project manager for a portfolio of schemes and programmes of work.
·Work closely with the Highways Contracts & Delivery team to ensure the deliverability, value for money and feasibility of schemes.
·Manage the whole delivery process for schemes, from inception through to construction in close collaboration with contractors and highways contracts management officers.
·Ensure early contractor involvement in the delivery of schemes and best value engineering solutions.
·Respond to various customer enquiries, investigating complaints and providing expert high-quality advice and reports relating to highways and traffic issues

Previous experience in Highways is essential for this role.
