Parking Engineer

Carrington West is currently assistant a South East London borough with their search for a Parking Design Engineer (Parking Technician) to join the Traffic and Parking Team. This South East London borough is a popular destination with a busy town centre and parking has a vital role to play in supporting the local economy and meeting the needs of residents, visitors and businesses. They are looking for two additional members of staff who can help us deliver a number of CPZs and parking management schemes.

As a Parking Design Engineer or Parking Technician you will be responsible for designing and implementing minor parking and traffic schemes, carrying out public consultations, preparing reports and dealing with enquiries from the public.

To be successful you will have:

A degree in Civil Engineering or a transport related subject, although we will consider all suitably skilled candidates.
Ability to write Traffic Regulation Orders (desirable)
Ability to use AutoCAD (desirable)
Good report writing and communication skills to engage effectively with members of the public, Councillors and work colleagues.
