An exciting long term contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maritime Clerk of Works/Site Supervisor in Barrow-In-Furness. This is a 2 year contract position which is based on site, offering 40 - 45 hours per week.
 
This position will be subject to a thorough status determination statement, meaning our client is considering applicants both inside and outside IR35.
 
Experience required
 
·Maritime/heavy civil engineering project experience (Concrete/Piling etc)
·Extensive experience working on site with preferably NEC experience
 
Responsibilities
 
-          To act as the Clerk of Works/Site Supervisor during the Construction phase of the projects
-          To ensure a consistently high standard of health & safety and quality control is maintained for the project (site audits etc.)
-          Undertaking regular site inspections of the project to monitor progress, verifying compliance with contractual drawings, warranty standards and the clients' Works Information
-          Identifying and raising discrepancies with the contractor/client Project Manager
-          Preparing written weekly reports with supporting photographs
-          Organising snagging and end of defect inspections with the Principal Contractor & client
