Human Factors Specialist - Reading/Warrington - 12 Month Contract
 
£70-85 Per hour (DOE) - Umbrella
 
Hybrid (1 day in office per week)
 
Are you an experienced Human Factors specialist, with a track record of providing expertise in heavily hazardous industries?
 
Our client are seeking a talented Human Factors Specialist to lead the Human Factors input to the design and assessment of the client organisation's facilities and processes relating to production and research operations to improve system performance and reliability through the application of user-centred design and assessment.
 
Please note, the ability to obtain UK Security clearance is essential for this role, please check the criteria online for this before you apply, and clearly state on your application if you hold existing clearances. Key Accountabilities:
·Support the client's Human Factors Technical Authority and manage the Human Factors Discipline for timely input to project activities.
·Lead Human Factors knowledge dissemination through industry liaison, exchange programs, and training events.
·Produce Human Factors assessments and technical inputs for facility design and safety justifications.
·Develop and maintain company-wide Human Factors standards and procedures.
·Uphold high standards in ESH&Q and collaborate effectively within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
·Ensure compliance with ESH&Q and statutory requirements.
·Serve as an Intelligent Customer interface with Regulators.
·Provide expertise for design and peer review.
·Drive improvement through Human Factors review.
·Lead Human Factors assessments for facility design and safety documentation.
·Develop and implement corporate Human Factors guidance.
·Create and deliver Human Factors training materials.
·Offer internal Human Factors consultancy.
·Lead Human Factors research for organizational activities.
·Cultivate relationships with external resource providers.
·Fulfill additional duties as required by the Client aligned with business needs.
 

Required Expereince
·Human factors assessment experience in high hazard processes.
·Application of human factors methods in dynamic, multidisciplinary environments.
·Strong awareness of engineering, operability/maintainability, and management inputs to projects for structured human factors work.
·Experience in human factors assessment for radiological, chemical, and explosive hazards.
