Job description

As a Highways Technician, you will be joining a highly collaborative team, who are currently engaged in a number of high-profile multi-disciplinary projects including various National Highways schemes and HS2. The team capability comprises the design of civil infrastructure, roads and bridges. The successful candidate will enhance our client's capability and provide experience and growth to the team. The position will be hybrid working between home and the office, including potentially working from co-located client/project offices and occasional travel will be necessary. This is a long-term contract position which will fall outside IR35 (subject to an assessment).


Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:


·Liaise with colleagues, other departments and project teams with respect to drawing requirements
·Comply with varying CAD standards ensuring all deliverables are compliant
·Producing technical supporting data such as specifications and reports
·Apply policies relating to health and safety, quality, and training
·Management of information in accordance with company procedures
 
Key experience:


·Experience having worked on National Highways schemes or HS2
·Proficient in AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation (2D)
·Knowledge of Civil 3D is advantageous
·Competent in CAD designs and producing with support CAD based deliverables with the correct level of detail for the required stage of design. This could be feasibility through to detailed design in accordance with industry standards
·Experience of using Data Management Systems in Common Data Environment (CDE) and can comply with the system standards
·Experience of multi-disciplinary design coordination using CAD tools and with support can integrate other designs into their own
·Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering or CAD subject
·Experience of contributing/producing BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
·Ideally you will be working towards EngTech or equivalent qualification
