Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join them on a contract basis initially, with the expectation to transition into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·Lead on the delivery and development of all service strategies, policies, asset management and operational plans.
·Responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting the forward works programme and the Annual Plan of activities undertaken by Highway Services.
·Oversee data and asset management, co-ordinating all activities via the analysis of data and liaising with counterparts to develop and draft a rolling programme of recommendations for Highways investments and innovation.
·Responsible for ensuring all commercial and performance monitoring arrangements are in place for the commercial protection of the Highways Service and working with senior colleagues to manage the financial and organisational performance of the supply chain and internal resources to maximise the efficiencies of the service.
·The role will have an audit function and will take a lead on budget management across the team in terms of the cost of delivering services. The role is also responsible for managing revenue streams and managing the commercial viability of contracted services and implementing year on year efficiency targets.
