Role: Head of Engineering - Water Sector
Location: Remote
Rate: circa £550 per day - Outside IR35

Are you interested in an opportunity that provides growth, adds value to clients nationwide and to oversee large multi-discipline design teams?
 
There is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a growing business who has secured multiple large framework agreements to become the Head of Engineering/ Engineering Director for a period of at least 6 months.
 
This very niche position is for a large consultancy who has won multiple contracts with major water utility companies across the country, providing primarily commercial and design services to multiple frameworks.
 
You will be the head of the Design Engineering department, overseeing multiple design managers and responsible for over 300 projects across the country providing feedback and implementing process' in agreement direct with the Managing Director.
 
You will also be a key decision maker in new hires and staff movement, along with the ability to run design meetings internally and have strong client liaison externally.
 
Criteria to be considered for the position:
 
- 10+ years total experience in the Water Sector, either for a Water Utility Company, consultancy or Contractor
 
- 5+ Years in a Lead Design/Design Management position or 2+ Years as an Engineering Head or engineering Director in the Water Sector
 
- Coverage of projects including Infrastructure, Non-Infrastructure, Clean and Waste Water as well as strong Commercial knowledge and understanding of Asset Management
 
- Experience leading design teams across multiple projects and frameworks, able to effectively work remotely and be accountable for Success, Failures and implement effective ways of working across the Engineering side of the business.
 
This position will oversee Multi discipline design teams including Civil,MEICA and Process Engineering, we can consider candidates from any engineering background/bias providing you have experience managing all disciplines.
