Job description
The role of the Geo-Environmental Engineer involves working primarily on housebuilder-related projects, with responsibilities split between site-based oversight of ground investigation works and office-based tasks such as report writing and providing consultancy advice. The contract is anticipated to be a rolling 3 month agreement.
The individual will be required to work five days a week, either on-site or in the office, with a total commitment of 40 hours per week (8 hours per day). The ideal candidate must have relevant experience in Geoenvironmental consultancy, both in consultancy and site-based roles to fulfil this position.
The role
·Desk studies
·Site investigations
·Interpretation of chemical and geotechnical data
·Supervision of site works
·Preparation of conceptual site models and contamination risk assessments
·Site remediation
·Writing technical and interpretative reports
For this role you will be required to demonstrate the following:
·Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
·IT literate
·Ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, contractors and other consultants
·Be able to work effectively as part of a team
·A Degree in geology or similar earth science discipline or a degree in environmental science
·Minimum 2 years' experience with a Geo-Environmental Consultancy
·Drive and ambition to learn
·A full UK driving licence is required
