Job Opportunity: General Foreman
Location: West Midlands
Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum plus package
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join their construction team on a major project in the West Midlands, delivering critical infrastructure for Severn Trent Water. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project within the water treatment sector.
Role Overview
As General Foreman, you will report directly to the Site Manager, coordinating safe and efficient site activities. Your responsibilities will include managing a specific section of larger projects or overseeing all aspects of smaller ones. A key focus will be maintaining compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards, while ensuring the project remains on track and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
·Collaborate with the Site Manager to coordinate and control initial site setup, ensuring framework systems and procedures are implemented effectively.
·Enforce stringent methods and controls to maximize resource utilization.
·Identify security risks to site property and implement appropriate protective measures.
·Support the Site Manager in upholding and enforcing safety standards, ensuring full compliance with safety policies.
·Follow and enforce method statements and risk assessments to maintain adherence to regulations.
·Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.
About You
·Qualifications:
oONC or HNC in a construction-related discipline.
oSMSTS/SSSTS certification.
oFirst Aid certification.
oConfined space training (preferred).
·Experience:
oProven track record in a similar role within the construction industry.
oExperience in the water treatment sector, particularly non-infrastructure projects, is highly desirable.
