Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services
 
My client is an award winning M&E Building Services consultancy who are seeking an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.
 
Amongst other sectors, they specialise in providing design solutions for Heritage and Historic buildings working both for a multitude of private sector clients and local authorities to bring Building Services up to latest standards in some of the most iconic historic buildings in the UK, including Royal Estates and Government buildings.
 
The role encompasses a 'cradle to grave' approach and all Engineers will be involved in and control all elements of the assigned projects including site visits and client meetings with supervision when required giving you a fully autonomous environment to work in.
 
As the Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking detailed design for Electrical services such as Small power, cabling, lighting, CCTV, alarm systems and comms on a variety of refurbishment and replacement projects.
 
The successful candidate will:
 
·Be degree educated in Electrical Engineering or other relevant major
·Ideally be Chartered (CEng) or working towards this
·Have a minimum of 3 years experience in Building Services Electrical Design
·You MUST have experience of working on refurbishment projects
·Be competent in the use of Dialux and Amtech calculation software
·Have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably Revit MEP.
·Have a clean UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
