Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based on the South Coast in their search for a Senior economic development officer. This will be offered on an initial 3-month contract (Possible extensions thereafter).

The successful candidate will work on a council project to arrange a High Street event around the Welcome Back to the High Street fund. This will be an individual project with no team management; your main responsibility is to organise an online conference with the parish councils within the district regarding the future high street fund and arrange an event.
 
The successful candidate will have proven record of delivering similar projects in a Local Authority setting and must be able to hit the ground running with little guidance. Experience in the following I essential:
 
·Running/supporting grant funds,
·Delivering business support/key account management activity
·Working and delivering across professional and local authority boundaries
·Working in a local govt environment - the officer will be required to work closely with other public authorities and liaise internally and externally with key stakeholders.
 
The hiring manager is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
