Our client are a well regarded contractor and consultancy working closely with Scottish Water in various disciplines.
 
They have an immediate requirement for a CAD Technician to join their busy technical team in Falkirk area on a contract basis for up to 6 months. Whilst this is offered a temporary opportunity, there is every possibility it could become longer term or go permanent for the right candidate.
 
The role will be supporting the CAD functions in relation to water networks and assets. This role will play an important part in the accuracy of field work carried out by the company.
 
This role would be ideal for a candidate with 2-3 years in the industry, looking to expand their knowledge of the water and utilities industries.
 
You will:
 
·Support the technical team with CAD drawings of clean water networks/pipelines.
·Merge drawing over relevant Ordinance Survey Map for purpose of field work.
·Ensure accuracy of work in order to facilitate effective field planning and efficient execution
 
Key Skills/Experience:
 
·1 to 3 years of working CAD Experience within and Engineering Discipline (ideally water/utilities).
·Degree/HNC educated (desirable)
·Proactive "can-do" attitude
·Excellent communication skills
·COntinually looking to improve, learn from others and develop within a role.

The right candidate can expect a salary of up to £25k per annum, for a 40 hour week. You will initially serve a period for 4-6 months via Carrington West recruitment, but this will turn into a permanent role afterwards.
