Business Development Manager - Nuclear Waste
 
Sellafield
 
Permanent £60-70k + Generous Bonus Scheme and Company Benefits
 
Our client have a fantastic opportunity to join their team in a client facing role to identify and subsequently secure, new opportunities for them to  work specifically at Sellafield (or involving waste from Sellafield.)
 
Work could be for any of the clients work/value streams - VLLW Disposal, Metallic Waste Treatment and Sort & Segregation as examples.
 
The successful candidate will manage client interface with Sellafield and endeavor to offer early identification of potential opportunities at Sellafield, Input into the client#'s Strategy and/or new equipment/improvements at their sites required to deliver identified Sellafield opportunities.
 
Ideal Candidates Skills/Qualifications
 
·Technical/Chemistry/Physics qualifications to degree level or equivalent
·Demonstrable experience of working within waste management on site at Sellafield
·Excellent command of the English language and capability to write and formulate factual and business reports.
·Competent in the use of Microsoft office.
·Full UK drivers licence.
 
Ideal Candidates Experience
 
·Track record in Business Development.
·Track record in delivering value and providing excellent customer service in a client facing role.
·Knowledge of Sellafield waste consignment/disposal/treatment processes and the people involved.
·Knowledge of Sellafield Low Level and boundary level waste streams.
·Knowledge and experience of NWS (previously LLWR) frameworks and waste consignment processes.
·Knowledge of NWS (previously LLWR) people and processes
·Demonstrable knowledge and industry experience of the radioactive waste sector, legislation and regulatory guidance in the UK.
·Proven established network with key stakeholders at Sellafield.
·Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
·Track record in establishing and maintaining compliant and profitable new routes to markets for existing and also for new customers and developing /suppliers/relationships/networks.
·Knowledge of UK radioactive waste services market
·Knowledge of radioactive waste treatment services - including but not limited to near surface disposal, incineration, stabilisation and metal decontamination.
·Knowledge and understanding of current, relevant radioactive and hazardous waste legislation in respect of the identification,
