Job description

Do you want to work for a highly motivated local authority planning team who consistently delivers a high level of service?
 
You will be mainly working from home, with the exception of site visits. The office location can be discussed upon application to the role.
 
This newly created role is because of an increase in workload.
You will be required to work both individually and as part of a team to continue the high level of service that the local authority operate to currently.
 
To be successful in this position you MUST HAVE:
·Access to your own vehicle or a valid UK driving license (for travel to and from the office and for site visits)
·Be comfortable working from home and using Microsoft Teams/Zoom
·Please note this role would suit an experienced building control surveyor with 2+ years of experience in local authority Building Control.
Role & Responsibilities:
·You will need to inspect high rise residential buildings, against regulations for public health, fire safety, energy conservation and sustainability and building accessibility
 
·carry out regular inspections of the building and building methods while works are being completed
 
·advise applicants on changes to ensure legal requirements are met
.
This is an initial 6 month post. The pay rate is negotiable depending on experience, with the role being deemed INSIDE IR35.
