Are you an experience Clean Water Network Operator or Supervisor?

Salary - up to £45,000 per annum
Contract to permanent

My client a main contractor is looking for Water Network Supervisor  to join them on a Water project in the London area.

This is an excellent  opportunity to work within the Water/Utilities sectors starting on a contract basis with a view it can go permanent for the right person paying up to £25.22 per hour via Umbrella.

The ideal Supervisor will have a strong, practical background in network operations in the clean water sector. The role will be mainly daytime based, but will require flexibility to work occasional nights to help support night operatives overcome complex jobs and offer them support as and when needed.

They are also open to experienced Network Operatives with Valve Operations experienced who are looking to step up into management.

Responsibilities include.

  • Delivering and supporting a range of field-based activities. This will involve valve operations such as mains isolations, asset investigation and water quality activities such as flushing and sampling.
  • Control the day-to-day running of the field operatives and ensure all activities are performed safely and efficiently within a timely manner.
  • Mentoring and supporting the field operatives, sharing your knowledge and skills, and carry out routine audits of both work and equipment.
  • Carry out mains isolations asset investigation and water quality activities such as flushing and sampling and support all operatives in these activities. Control the day-to-day running of the field operatives and ensuring all activities are performed safely and efficiently within a timely manner.
  • Be the first point of contact for all operatives on site.
  • Liaise directly with management, field operatives and office staff to ensure the highest standard of communication between all parties.
  • Be able to suggest resolutions to complex jobs and help operatives overcome any problems they face on site. Be able to use GIS and provide plans and other reference documents to operatives on site as well as conduct trace extensions.
  • Perform monthly audits on work and equipment for all operatives - both days and nights. Responsible for briefing all operatives on any new procedures and hold regular team meetings in which you can brief any relevant toolbox talks.
  • Ensuring all operatives are always wearing the correct PPE.
