Are you an experienced Urban Designer, well-versed in providing expert advice on Major planning applications? If so, this role I am recruiting for with my local authority client in the South-West of England may be right for you.
 
Working through their own Ltd Company, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist Urban Design advice and guidance to the planning and conservation officers within the planning department. Application sizes will vary from single dwellings in sensitive areas through to majors, inclusive of large housing development and student accommodation.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
·Liaising with planning officers and applicants/agents, offering suitable Urban Design advice
·Negotiating with different parties to ensure a favourable outcome
·Advising on matters related to city and rural areas
·Working on a part-time, case-by-case basis

In order to be considered for this role you must:
·Have your own Ltd Company
·Have experience in the same or similar roles
·Have excellent knowledge of the public sector planning system and processes
