Job Overview:
As a Trainee Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Quality Document Control Team to coordinate and manage all project-related documents. You will receive comprehensive training to excel in this position, providing you with valuable skills and knowledge for a rewarding career in document control and quality management.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Efficiently navigate the Common Data Environment (CDE) to access and manage project documents.
Download and upload documents on the CDE, ensuring accurate revision control.
Adhere to Naming Conventions to maintain consistency and organization of files.
Understand and implement ISO19650 standards to effectively control project documents.
Develop a basic understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles.
Conduct quality checks on documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Control correspondence in line with established protocols and procedures.
 
Environmental and Safety Responsibilities:
 
Consider environmental factors in decision-making related to materials, energy, pollution, and ecology on site.
Comply with all environmental performance standards and contractual requirements.
Prioritize safety and cooperate with all relevant safety protocols and procedures.
Ensure a safe work environment and prevent misuse or interference with safety equipment.
 
Person Specification:
 
Strong IT knowledge and skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external parties at all levels.
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in document control.
Adaptable and flexible, capable of managing tight and dynamic deadlines.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively with a team-oriented approach.
Demonstrated planning and time management abilities.
Education and Experience:
 
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in document control or a related field is an advantage but not required.
Full training will be provided by our experienced Document Control Team.
