My client has an exciting opportunity to join the York office as an Active Travel Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
·Preparation of feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs for traffic engineering schemes and associated reporting, supporting the presentation of deliverables to clients.
·Ensure technical content and quality of output produced is in line with the project brief, checking the work of junior staff as appropriate and working within specified time and financial constraints.
·Collaborate with colleagues both in the immediate team and wider business to ensure high quality deliverables.
·Assist in the preparation of client fee proposals for approval by senior colleagues and contribute to major bids as required.
·Experience in the Traffic Engineering discipline, for example the development of infrastructure solutions for cyclists and pedestrians; bus priority; and traffic signal design and modelling
·A relevant degree and be working towards an appropriate Incorporated or Chartered status with membership of a professional institution.
