Planning Consultant (3-7 years' experience)

Our client is a fast-growing SME specialised consultancy that delivers sustainable performance improvements with expertise in Consents & Engagement, Environment and Sustainability, Commercial Management, Project Management amongst other areas.
 
They are looking for an Planning Consultant to come in and join their team to work on some exciting projects on a permanent basis. Some of their projects include the Lower Thames Crossing and HS2 so there has never been a better time to join.
 
The ideal candidate will be someone that has/is:
 
·The holder of an undergraduate degree in a related subject.
·3-7 years (recent) professional experience either in local authority or consultancy.
·Excellent written and spoken English.
·Skill in managing stakeholders / client expectations.
·Able to identify and coordinate all consents and/or engagement matters required by a project to ensure that all the works undertaken are carried out in compliance with relevant legal commitments, consents, and stakeholder requirements.
·Ability to consider wider matters e.g., knowledge of communications, environment, property, public relations, stakeholder engagement and town planning.
·Good negotiating skills.
·DCO, TWAO or Hybrid Bill Schemes.
 
 
Experience with major applications, infrastructure planning or development consent orders would be a huge plus.
