What we need:
Our client, a busy local authority in the South East, are looking for a capable and experienced Structures Engineer to assist on a number of Highways and Bridge related engineering projects.

What you will do:
The work to be undertaken is a structural design check of a precast prestressed concrete beams bridge with in-situ concrete slab deck. 
 
What you will need to succeed
Significant experience in design of concrete bridges and in-depth knowledge of relevant design standards (Eurocodes) and construction methods are essential.
You will need to be an experienced user of Finite Element Analysis (LUSAS), have the ability to work with little supervision and have a working knowledge of Designers duties under CDM Regulations.
 
What you will get in return:
This is initially a 1 month contract to help complete this particular piece of work however, there is scope for extension and to be moved on to more projects for the authority. Rates of pay will be between £30 and 35 per hour. The IR35 status will be determined once a candidate has been picked and an assessment has been made on their working circumstances.
