Street Works Inspector
A busy London Borough Council is seeking an experienced Street Works Inspector (NRSWA) to join their Network Management team on a contract basis. This role will involve carrying out both highways safety and NRSWA inspections across a busy and diverse urban network.
Reporting to the Network Manager, you will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of Inspectors and Coordinators to ensure all works undertaken on the public highway are compliant, safe, and in line with statutory requirements.
The Council manages a complex and heavily trafficked urban highway network. Previous experience delivering NRSWA inspections within a London or similarly busy metropolitan environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
·Undertaking systematic and ad-hoc inspections of street works and highway works
·Inspecting works in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and the Highways Act 1980
·Investigating highway licences, permits, and potential infringements
·Proactively identifying and reporting non-compliant works
·Supporting the Council's duty to ensure safety and minimise disruption across the network

About You:
·Accredited NRSWA Inspector
·Proven experience inspecting works on busy urban highway networks
·Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice
·Excellent communication and reporting skills
