Job Title: Highways Site Supervisor (Night Shifts)
 
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 per annum depending on experience.
 
Location: London, UK
 
My client are responsible for the maintenance of a significant highways contract in the London area. They are seeking a skilled Highways Site Supervisor to oversee maintenance and reactive works within London.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage a team of operatives, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard during the night shifts.
·Oversee the execution of both day-to-day operational maintenance tasks as well as reactive and emergency works, responding promptly to issues and ensuring swift resolution.
·Ensure scheduled maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
·Enforce and promote strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring all work is conducted safely, especially during night operations.
·Maintain accurate records of all works carried out, providing detailed reports on progress, issues, and resolutions.
·Produce an efficient handover ready for the next team on shift.
·Communicate effectively with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and timely updates.
Requirements:
·Proven experience in a similar role within the highways maintenance sector, with a strong background in both reactive and planned maintenance.
·Willingness to work consistently on night shifts.
·Demonstrated ability to supervise teams, particularly during night shifts, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
·In-depth understanding of highways maintenance processes, standards, and best practices.
·Ability to quickly assess situations and implement effective solutions, particularly in a reactive environment.
·Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders and maintain clear, accurate documentation.
