We are proud to be working with our client, a major Highways Contractor in London , to find a Site Engineer to work on Vehicle Restraint System projects (VRS). This Job is OUTSIDE IR35 and can be paid via a Limited Company.

Position Summary: As the Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of VRS projects throughout London. You will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of vehicle restraint systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
·Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and identify any potential challenges or risks.
·Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and design documents for VRS installations.
·Manage and coordinate on-site activities, including the supervision of construction crews and subcontractors.
·Ensure that all installations and repairs comply with relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
·Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor the progress of projects, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
·Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
·Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the installation and maintenance of VRS.
·Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities regarding VRS projects.
·Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to vehicle restraint systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
·Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
·Proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably with specialization in VRS projects.
·Strong knowledge of vehicle restraint systems, including barriers, guardrails, and crash cushions.
·Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing VRS installations.
·Proficient in using engineering software and tools for drafting and design (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).
·Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
·Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and liaise with various stakeholders.
·Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
·Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within London.
