Job description

What we need
We are pleased to be working with our client, a successful highways maintenance contractor, to find an available, reliable and experienced Site Engineer. As the Site Engineer you will be working with the companies maintenance teams to deliver various schemes predominantly in the HE Area 6&8 region .
 
What you will do:
·Setting out permanent and temporary works
·Completing site surveys and providing records i.e. sketches/schedules
·On site co-ordination of activities
·Developing and reviewing safe systems of work
·Ensuring compliance with safe systems of work
·Ensuring all works comply with highways and project specification and drawings
·Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved ITP
·Carrying out quality assurance inspections and completing ITP check sheets
·Ensuring all activities on site are recorded through daily diaries and photographs
·Reviewing drawings and raising technical queries relating to the design
·Deliver workforce briefings

What you will need to succeed:
·Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng)
·Previous experience delivering infrastructure projects in a site role
·Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS
·Good written and oral communication skills
·The ability to communicate with site workforce
