Carrington West is proud to be working closely with a joint venture on HS2 and assist them the recruitment of  5 Site Engineers to join their fast-paced team.
 
Location: Central London
Salary: £25k - £40k (depending on experience)
 
Requirements:
·Experience in setting out
·Experience working on Heavy Civils projects
·Reinforced Concrete, tunnelling or piling experience advantageous
·Writing RAMS required
·Previous experience in deep foundations and/or tunnels is highly advantageous
 
Qualifications:
·Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or BETec in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
·Relevant CSCS Card
·Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
 
Responsibilities:
·Setting out the works in accordance with the contract requirements
·Keep a full and accurate daily site diary.
·Complete inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements.
·Develop 4-weekly programmes with section engineer and simple benchmark productivity measures for the workforce and assess actual programme and productivity achieved for review at weekly progress meetings.
·Check the works during progress and on completion to ensure that it has been constructed in line with the setting-out information provided
·Taking off and site measures of materials to allow them to be controlled ordered efficiently.
·Take receipt of materials and check description, quality, markings and condition before signing for and ensure that all tickets are passed to the section engineer for coding.
