Role: Site Agent - Water Sector (Temp - to - Perm)
Industry / Projects: Waste Water Treatment
Salary: up to £53,040 (£24 p/h)
Hours: 45hours per week
Location:  Hungerford - Kintbury WTW (Thames Water/Thames Valley)

Are you looking for a new challenge with one of the UK's largest construction companies?
 
My client is working on several operational waste water treatment plants for Thames Water and are looking to recruit a proven SMSTS qualified Site Manager with a background in Water Civils as well as an understanding of M&E (mechanical and electrical) delivery.
 
My client is looking for an individual who is going to take control and assist the Project manager with the scheme, leading and taking charge of the project below himself. Someone who will be in the programme meetings and really own the position. The bulk of the work is maintenance and upgrade schemes at Kintbury WTW. Liaising with the M&E team mainly the mechanical interface side of things to collaboratively deliver the project for the client.
 
Responsibilities
 
·Ensure health, safety, environmental protection, quality of work and security are maintained on site at all times
·Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations
·Review and approve contractors' method statement and risk assessment
·Setup and maintain site facilities including welfare, security
·Provide inductions to new site operatives
·Issue permits for high-risk activities such as confined space entry, work at height, lifting operation, hot works etc
·Maintain site documentation, signage etc
·Ensure subcontractors work to agreed method statements and risk assessments
·Ensure site operatives are suitably qualified and have received all relevant training and briefing
·Coordinate between design team and subcontractors
·Check and understand all drawings and specifications. Ensure that any errors / omissions are formally communicated to the Design Team in a timely manner
·Provide tool box talks where required
·Identify and resolve site issues in conjunction with subcontractors
·Maintaining a tidy, safe and efficient site at all times
·Maintain a daily log of progress, events, issues etc
·Reporting to the Project Manager on a regular basis
·Liaise with Client in a confident and professional manner
 
Skills and Experience: You MUST have
·SSSTS/SMSTS Certificate
·CSCS Supervisor
·Experience in the UK water Sector
