Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Site Agent to oversee highway and carpark works outside of a busy train station. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a significant impact on the transportation infrastructure within our city. The project involves curbing, resurfacing, replacement of a road crossing island, and installation of new lighting systems.

Responsibilities:
·Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the highway and carpark works project, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
·Coordinate and manage the site activities, including workforce, subcontractors, plant, and materials, to ensure efficient progress.
·Collaborate closely with the project manager, design team, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
·Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
·Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily diaries, site inspections, progress reports, and health and safety documentation.
·Conduct regular site meetings, toolbox talks, and briefings to ensure clear communication and alignment among the project team.
·Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes of practice, and health and safety requirements.
·Oversee the installation of new lighting systems, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
·Manage the resurfacing and curbing activities to achieve the desired quality and durability standards.
·Coordinate the replacement of the road crossing island, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic flow.

Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar role, specifically in highway and carpark works projects.
·Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and quality standards.
·Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse workforce.
·Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and health and safety practices within the construction industry.
·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
·Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery, including meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
·Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant tools.
·Valid driving license and willingness to travel to the project site as required.
