Senior Transport Planner - Development Control
 
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Transport Planner to join a busy council in Central London on an ongoing contract basis.
 
As a Senior Transport Planner you will:
 
Support the Director of Planning and Development in helping to deliver new development which aligns with the Corporation's strategic transport objectives and which secures high quality outcomes and improvements for the future operation of the City's streets, Public realm and the wider transport network.
 
Deal with relevant highway, walkway and transportation issues post-planning stage in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 under the direction of the Director of Planning and Development.
 
Negotiate and secure any Section 278 works throughout the planning application process to meet relevant statutory planning requirements in respect of transportation or highways issues. To liaise with City Operations throughout the design and implementation stages of S278 agreements.

Previous experience in Transport Planning and Development Control is essential for this role.
