Senior Town Planner

Are you an experienced and motivated Senior Town Planner looking for a new challenge? Carrington West are pleased to be working with an esteemed private planning consultancy, located in Skipton, they are seeking a dynamic individual to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
 
Project Management: Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of planning projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met to the highest standard.
Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
Policy and Regulation Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant planning policies, regulations, and legislation to ensure all projects align with legal requirements.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including architects, engineers, and other planners, fostering a positive and cohesive working environment.
Community Engagement: Facilitate public consultations, engaging with local communities to gather feedback and address concerns regarding proposed developments.
Report and Proposal Writing: Prepare detailed reports, planning applications, and proposals, demonstrating a high level of written communication skills.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
·Bachelor's or Master's degree in Town Planning or a related field.
·Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) preferred.
·Proven experience in a senior town planning role, demonstrating successful project management and client engagement.
 
Skills and Attributes:
·Strong knowledge of UK planning policies, regulations, and legislation.
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering collaboration and creativity.
·Proficient in project management, with a keen eye for detail.
·Comfortable using planning software and other relevant tools.
