My client is seeking a Chartered or recently Chartered technical lead with a goo level of experience in geotechnical engineering. As a key member of their friendly close-knit team in Westminster you will be the technical lead of their geotechnical services, providing a key part of their project delivery team.  
 
Projects range from large international port developments to isolated marine facilities on the River Thames. You would help deliver all phases of projects from feasibility studies through to the supervision of the construction of port and harbour infrastructure, coastal defences, waterfront developments, jetties, quays, breakwaters and numerous other maritime structures.
 
You will have technical expertise and experience relevant to geotechnical investigations, design and specification of earth retaining structures, slope stabilisation / revetments and piled structures (both steel and concrete). You will ideally have experience of running projects and an awareness of or significant interest in the marine environment. You will be able to work independently whilst have the ability to mentor juniors and develop our technical capability.
 
Your role will be critical to the continuing growth of the company and you will be afforded the opportunity to develop and progress. Whilst delivering technical engineering services, you will need to be capable of liaising with clients, project managing and ideally be interested in helping to develop the business. You will need to be highly motivated, proactive and able to work in a diverse and friendly team. Required attributes:
·High quality Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
·Chartered with a relevant accredited institution.
·Detailed technical experience in the design of retaining walls, slope stability, piling or similar.
·Strong interest or experience in maritime engineering.
·Lateral thinker with a strong desire to innovate.
·Well organised with the ability to multitask.
·Fluent written and spoken English.
·Experience in relevant Geotechnical software and Microsoft packages.
·Highly motivated.
·Good communication skills.
