Senior/ Principal Environmental (EIA) consultant needed for a permanent position in Guildford
 
My client are an environmental consultancy who are looking to add a Environmental Impact Assessment consultant to their Guildford office. Although Guildford is preferable they would also consider a candidate to be based near their other offices in Leeds, Birmingham or Cardiff.
 
Role:
The EIA is a new business unit for them and they are looking to add a commercially aware EIA consultant who will be happy business winning fro them.
 
You will be experienced writing winning tenders and have an eye for developing competitive fee proposals.
You will have a detailed knowledge of EIA methodology and best practice, as well as a broad understanding of all technical disciplines that contribute to the EIA process.

Requirements:
·Have previous experience of EIA across multiple sectors eg. transport, housing & commercial, utilities, renewable energy etc.
·Hold a degree or postgraduate degree in environmental science or other relevant discipline
·Be able to evidence a successful track record of EIA co-ordination and project management
·Be able to work independently (if not located in Guildford head office)
·Have a full UK driving licence, use of a car and be willing to travel using public transport, where appropriate

Ideally...
·Be a Chartered Environmentalist (or to have eligibility, if not currently held)
·Have full membership of IEMA or similar body (or to have eligibility, if not currently held)
·Be willing and able to confidently prepare bids and tenders, to grow the business unit with support from the commercial team
·Have the desire to develop and grow a team, previous line management or supervisory experience would be advantageous
·Bring a network of clients and contacts.
