Role: Senior/Data Analyst - Water Technical
Location: Derby
Duration: 6 months +
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
 
We currently have an exciting opportunity working for a leading contractor for a Senior / Data Analyst - Water Technical between £30k to 40lk per annum depending on experience. This is a great opportunity working for a growing team on a variety of water related projects.
 
Responsibilities include:
·Supporting and assistance on clean water and wastewater asset management projects such as such as (but not limited to) Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans; Leakage Analytics and other projects requiring detailed technical analysis. A Senior Data Analyst would be responsible for delivery of these projects
·Support senior team members in their delivery for a range of water and wastewater projects, whilst a Senior Data Analyst would be expected to additionally show project and team leading responsibilities to support the Team Leader / Technical Manager in the delivery for a range of clean water and wastewater projects
·Work closely with internal and external clients to ensure delivery of large size projects are on time, within quality expectations and are financially profitable
·Development of opportunities through client engagement
·You will be able to provide advice and support to less experienced colleagues that may be under your line management and beyond to further their career development
 
Skills and experience:
·Preferably Degree qualified in a relevant technical subject. Post graduate qualifications an advantage
·At Senior Data Analyst level we would expect you to be a Chartered / Incorporated Member of Institution e.g. CIWEM, IAM or be able to demonstrate progression towards Chartership (through structured training or informal mentoring).
·You will be expected to demonstrate relevant experience in data management or modelling background at either a consultancy, water company or regulator
·You will be expected to have proficiency in MS 365 applications, and have knowledge in key areas such as advanced Excel and Visual Basic
·You must have a knowledge and experience of GIS packages e.g. ARC GIS, QGIS, MapInfo etc
·Experience with working with large datasets using programming skills, data manipulation and visualisation
·You will have experience in the specific understanding of programming languages such as Python, SQL, FME and Ruby Script enabling integration and enhancement of BAU activities
·You will have demonstrable experience in discipline specific data analysis packages, which may be water focussed such as InfoWorks or InfoAsset
·General understanding of the UK water industry, with a strong association to asset management
·Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
·Full UK Driving Licence preferable
