My client is a fast-growing independent business who are well-known within the transport infrastructure industry. Due to winning work, they are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work closely with them on a framework with Network Rail. This will involve successful commercial management of schemes through design and construction, along with overseeing and managing a small team.

Location: Waterloo
Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 P/A + company car

Responsibilities:

• Report directly into the Managing QS and Programme Commercial Manager whilst overseeing and managing a small team.
• Work closely alongside the planning and project teams, whilst preparing project forecasts and cash flows.
• Understand, communicate and manage project level legal and contractual responsibilities.
• Review the contract and highlight any risks to the delivery teams, to ensure their understanding of responsibilities.
• Investigate, challenge and report on work bank financial performance, including level risks, issues and opportunities.
• Carry out and oversee the commercial management of subcontractors through to settlement of final account.
• Cost control and change management.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the railway industry.
• Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• Must have NEC 3 and ideally NEC 4 contract experience.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Network Rail standards
