Senior Quantity Surveyor (Infrastructure)
Salary Range: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (Experience and qualifications dependent)
Location: Kent
Job Description: We're seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team focusing on highway infrastructure projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in managing project finances, ensuring cost control, and enhancing profitability. Your duties will include:
·Analysing costs for highway infrastructure projects, including detailed estimating, cost planning, and cost control.
·Preparing tender and contract documents, such as bills of quantities and specifications.
·Collaborating with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate and finalize contractual terms.
·Overseeing the procurement process, including subcontractor selection and appointment.
·Handling variations, claims, and disputes to secure favorable outcomes.
·Conducting regular site visits to track progress and provide financial updates.
·Monitoring project budgets and cash flows, identifying and addressing risks.
·Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
·Providing guidance to junior team members as needed.
Skills Required: The ideal candidate should have:
·Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, particularly in highway infrastructure projects.
·Proficiency in cost estimating, contract administration, and procurement.
·Strong negotiation and communication skills.
·Ability to manage project finances effectively.
·Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
·Familiarity with software like MS Excel and MS Project.
·A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
